“It is unknowable how long that conflict [the war in Iraq] will last. It could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months.” - Donald Rumsfeld 12/18/2002

They have managed to completely insulate themselves from reality. If we’re to survive, we need to insulate ourselves from them.

Well said.

The war was wrong but initial polling did find most Iraqis saw the intervention as being right at the beginning.
-
Don’t spread propaganda. No Arab Iraqis wanted to be invaded. None.
-
Polls from yougov and oxford research institute found that initially that the intervention did have support. As time went by it then went south form the latter part of around 04 onwards.
-
It is ridiculous on the face of it. People were responding as to whether they wanted Saddam gone, not whether they wanted an American occupation. Scientific polling was impossible then
-
They were asked a series of specific questions, were they occupiers or liberators, was it right or wrong that the US invaded etc. Again, initially the response to the latter question was in the positive, but turned negative as the war went on. http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/15_03_04_iraqsurvey.pdf …

The difference is that Cheney knew what he was saying was fantasy. Cotton believes that crap!
-
Does he? Or is he just spewing garbage?
-
Oh, I'd say he believes in garbage.
