At this juncture, being “pro-Israel” is like being pro-Germany or pro-Japan. It just is. That doesn’t mean you can’t be also be anti-Netanyahu, or anti-settlers, or pro-Palestinian, pro-two-state. Don’t we need more nuance in our discussions?

I support the Palestinian struggle, but what kind of a lazy argument is this? "Support the right to exist?" Reza's said himself that the 2-state solution might not be a realistic option anymore. Israel's never going to stop existing & it's foolish to hope that it doesn't 1 day.

I...wasn't making an arguement about the current situation. I was explaining bernies history and how he has activley argued for the 2 state solution. But sure, that's one viewpoint on what might happen if the main option was a one state.

No because there are a lot of evangelicals in this country that belive Israel is critical for prophecies in the book of revelation. Others identify with Israel or have knowledge of the holocaust and credibility belive that without Israel another genocide is inevitable
