I find it amazing that you disparage the credentials of others, citing your "PHD in the history of religions", when in actual fact you have a PHD in sociology and teach creative writing. I guess it's easier to rely on false credentials when you're peddling postmodernist nonsense.

Sociology is the study of Society. Religion is part of Society. I don’t see the issue here.

"The History of Religions" is very specific. A PHD in Sociology with a dissertation in political activism doesn't pass muster. I wouldn't normally care, because I care about arguments not credentials, but Reza disparages the credentials of others, while not having them himself!

You seem to be horribly misinformed about academic credentials. “History of religions” is a sub field and specialization found in sociology, history, and religious studies. Reza’s dissertation is on religious-political movements, research in line with his expertise

No it is not.If they were not in feud,then that would bring Rezas credentials in question.Religious scholars and intellectuals have an obligation to speak up against bigotry hidden in pseudo intellectualism of Harris.

Reza Aslan basically wants us to accept that half the women in the Middle East are enslaved because of a medieval religious ideology and then cites his fake credentials. In the meantime he wants to stifle any debate or criticism about Islam with endless charges of bigotry.
