Does anyone ever use "well spoken" for white people in mainstream America? I've only heard it used as a compliment for people of color.

Was going to agree, but the first page of results on google news search for "well spoken" were white people. https://www.neusenews.com/index/2019/2/10/bryan-hanks-column-remembering-rep-walter-b-jones … About Republican Walter Jones: "He was kind, well-spoken and made you feel like you were the most important person in the world."

I think I’ve heard it applied to white people, but just when there seems to be some other reason to expect the opposite...

I'm originally from the UK. There, I've only ever heard it stated in a pretentious manner by the so-called upper class about *anyone* who can string together a sentence in one of the (literally) hundreds of accents other than the "Queen's English" (think Downtown Abbey).

I've noticed"well spoken" in stories about men of color and women of all colors. White men own the media. White male editors decide what gets published. This is why I'm so grateful for the internet right now.

I usually say "well said" if I think someone has stated their view clearly and succinctly. No idea what their skin color is and don't care.

This shouldn’t even be a thing 🤦‍♂️. If it were the case who cares? It’s not meant to be a bad thing ever. I have never heard this phrase used in any way but a compliment. Read about anything before 1964 and you will see what REAL racism is. Freakin lefties...

Narrator: While trying to make an innocent joke on twitter, Reza inadvertently exposed the liberal outrage of a colleague for the pathetic excuse for virtue signaling it is.
