I didn’t accuse you of any such thing. You are sharing a tactic which is to incite extra-judicial violence against a person (in this case a minor) based on the optics of his affect and face. I’m trying to do you a favor by backing you down. I waited for you to remove your tweet.

You get what he's saying, right? We on the left are turning ourselves into the very thing we detest. I've made the mistake of thinking that this wasn't a mainstream liberal way of being, but our collective reaction to this video really brought it home for me.

I don't want to be part of group who calls for violence against children, publishes names and addresses online to insight violence, or refuses to acknowledge mitigating facts once they're discovered. Who are we?? This is not the left I grew up with.

The problem is there is a fringe group that is growing larger and larger. I used to think they were a tiny element but I’ve realized recently that they are not so tiny

I know and it's terrifying.

Good and bad on both sides, and in or near the middle. Thank you for being one of the good ones, I strive to do the same on the right.

-
And I thank you! Wouldn't it be something if we all started talking to each other again? I would absolutely love that.

You should simply apologize and acknowledge that you acted improperly. It's what a man would do. If it helps, I hear there's a razor ad floating around that apparently explains the concept.

Humility is no longer recognized as a manly virtue amongst those least deserving of the moniker.

But you’re still ok with threatening harm to children? Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up.

That moment when a guy with 5 followers tweets a reply that gets more likes than Reza's (287k followers) original post. Makes me believe in humanity again.

It’d be helpful if you actually addressed the issue.

He doesn't want to. That's why he's feigning ignorance about what Eric said. Deflection is an art.

Just delete it and/or apologize man. You can’t possibly still believe it was a good message in hindsight. If you do, you’ve got some serious soul searching to do...
-
For real. How ideologically possessed does one have to be to double down on this? He's just a disturbed person.

You could just apologize instead of misinterpreting responses to you advocating for/poking fun at violence against teens.
-
Or realize those boys are actually bad.

Remember the deep, deep internet past and the Gillette commercial about toxic masculinity? Ya, Reza is a perfect example of what they meant.
