We're not, exactly. We're paying them to spend OUR money on OUR defense industries (foreign military sales). We do that in a lot of places. FMS is a fancy way of saying we subsidize our military industrial complex with the tax dollars of the little people.

So why not spend that same money on something useful, like repairing our infrastructure or promoting renewable energy, instead of propping up racist colonialism? The pork could still go to the same US companies, if that will get it done.
