This is maddening

There were always adults in the room. Those adults decided it was better to enable Trump's worst tendencies and drive policies that hurt as many people as they could. From wars, to family separation and more. The adults in the room all got what they wanted.

gen. Mattis knew how shabbily gen. Colin Powell had been used to sell Cheney's policies (war with Iraq!) on false pretexts. He even discussed it with Brent Scowcroft (and possibly with Powell himself?)
