Not contradiction exactly. It’s just distasteful and uncalled-for. People expect partisan pundits to be a little partisan- and they expect people with other platforms to respect their audiences by not darkening their feed with intellectless hackery.

I do agree w you though that I am generally not looking for political perspectives from most historians or psychologists or theologians, but that’s not to say that those fields can’t inform a persons politics, because I think they ought to.
