The the Senate approves of Kavanaugh is the day Ford will go to Maryland and have charges filed. This will not simply "go away" after a hindered FBI investigation.

His sense of privilege and entitlement is so all-consuming that I sincerely believe he considers himself untouchable. Add to this the fact that this "investigation" is a 'both-hands-tied-behind-their-backs' farce, and he may well prevail, with respect to his confirmation.

Incorrect. The Montgomery County prosecutor observed that at the time attempted rape was a misdemeanor with a 1 yr SOL. The case has to be tried under law as it existed when crime was committed. So the SOL has run out. (The law was changed (removing the SOL) in 1996.)
