Actually, ‘unfit’ might be *why* they support him. His lack of qualifications are a plus from their viewpoint. Makes him a ‘maverick’. I know that sounds stupid — but we’re talking about Trump supporters.

It doesn’t sound stupid at all, these are people who feel as though they’ve been forgotten. They feel as though they’ve been talked AT and not TO; they definitely feel like no one listens to them or thinks & talks like them.

Sorry, I’m not buying the ‘economic anxiety’ argument. I’ve got plenty of economic anxiety. I still don’t make excuses for racism, religious bigotry, and cheering as Trump burns the whole country to the ground.

It’s not just economic anxiety they have. We can either engage them in an effort to bring them along with the progress or have a chunk of our society that doesn’t feel they belong in what our country has become, including economically. Some of them are & always will be bigots

The ones that still support him, after all that’s happened, are clearly impervious to reason & facts. We cannot ‘bring them along’; they don't want to go where the country is headed. We must leave them to God.
