Please explain a Norwegian who tries to understand how and why a phenomenon like Trump was elected in the first place, why the timing of a NYT article that "polls" Trump voters after the biggest blunder (from my point of view), would be subject to an office pool bet?

The idea is that the New York Times spends an inordinate amount of time and energy trying to figure out what makes trump voters tick, filtering virtually every issue through that lens vs say the 65% of the country that DOESN’T approve.

I am sick and tired of hearing about these pitiful supporters. They are the ones who got us to this point. Personally, it is going to take me a long time to trust/like any of them, even if they’ve had a change of heart. They owe America a huge mia culpa.
