    On Saturday, over 14 police cars and vans turned up for a demonstration to of around 50 people. Four protesters were violently arrested, and have now been released pending investigation

    Cops have sent threatening letters to , trans rights activists and anti-racist organisers, claiming they could be arrested or fined £10k. The letters went beyond even the expanded legal powers given to the police under the Johnson government’s coronavirus legislation

    Over 600 XR activists were arrested in London alone, including one person in their 90s. Police also stepped in to break blockades around the country of printing and distribution centres for right-wing newspapers owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp
