Oh you want to threaten WWIII over tanks to Ukraine? Well it's BEEN WWIII ever since Russia hacked a US political party in order to install a puppet so that they could keep the Ukrainian territory they had invaded and illegally annexed.

NYT reporting Bill Barr & John Durham got an inconvenient surprise in Italy. BARR & DURHAM: "Did you have any role in starting the Trump/Russia investigation?" ITALIAN OFFICIALS: "No, but we do have credible evidence of Trump's financial crimes." Those crimes are still secret.

I can see Barr allowing the stunning amount of craziness (a gentle choice of word) described in this article. But does ANYONE in the current OAG or ODAG care about this? Durham has reported to AG Garland for twenty two (22) months now.

Imagine if people said, 3 years after the seatbelt law was passed, "OK that's enough of that, I've been STRAPPED DOWN whenever I drive long enough! We need to live our lives!" And the seatbelt law was repealed and everybody cheered and anyone objecting was called an extremist.

And so I wake in the morning and I step outside. And I take a deep breath and I get real high. And I scream from the top of my lungs: โ€œHow come a leader who attempted to cling to power through an illicit coup, and failed, is now preparing quite openly to take power again?!โ€

I'm so old, I remember people mixing up who owned who, and asking how Trump "made" Putin help him. Trump was chosen as a puppet because he likes money, has zero morals, and is fine with Russia taking all of Ukraine, who cares. He himself would like to take some lands.

It is sadly true that Americans usually only learn geography because of war. But Americans know Ukraine and Crimea now. NOW it all makes sense why a Russian spy at the FBI would help Trump take power. Trump said he heard Crimea "wanted to be Russian."

Since 2016 I've said this has all been about Ukraine. And before 2022, most people went "What? WTF does Ukraine have to do with MAGA?" But now I think it's starting to all come out in the open. Why did Russia install Trump? To keep Crimea. Americans know where that is, now.

Itโ€™s weird that Trump came into office with an explicit and clear agenda to hand Ukraine to Putin and we donโ€™t talk about that much.

Meanwhile, the MAGA hordes, including the Pretender Himself, are all echoing Putin's threat to nuke us for sending tanks to Ukraine. They're so blatantly owned by Russia, and I hope everyone gets it now that they caught the Russian mole at the FBI.

It was not that long ago, even. When I went to high school in the 90s there was still a huge debate about whether gay and lesbian teachers should be allowed in schools, because it would be telling kids it was okay to be gay, which bigots considered "recruiting them."
Quote Tweet
There's a lack of appreciation today of how bitterly controversial gay rights was once deemed to be, how the gay rights movement was portrayed as a really dangerous, abusive, "militant" and violent rabble. This is exactly how trans rights is portrayed today.

Anita Bryant spoke, at great length, about how she was subjected to death threats, bomb threats, threats to kidnap her kids, and "received hate mail with human faeces and voodoo dolls regularly". This was used as evidence that the gay rights movement was violent and dangerous.

Read this thread if you want to see how the gay rights movement was treated in the 1970s. A clue: exactly the same as the trans rights movement
Quote Tweet
History rarely repeats itself, but it often rhymes. The parallels between the backlash against trans rights and gay rights are astonishing. This is Anita Bryant, chart topping singer, orange juice promoter - and the face of the anti-gay rights movement in the US in the 1970s.

It certainly looks like Putin, with the help of Manifort and Trump, stole the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton but, more importantly, from the 65.8 million people who voted against the Thief in Chief, Donald Trump, who, btw, won just 62.9 million votes despite Putinโ€™s efforts.
Quote Tweet
James Comey felt compelled to announce the reopening of the Hillary email investigation because it had already been leaked by two agents at the NY FBI office, one of whom we now learn was a Russian agent. Donโ€™t tell me Putin didnโ€™t steal the 2016 election.

Those people existed. They would rant and rave about how they wanted themselves and their passengers to be "thrown clear of the wreck." They did not accept the science that says using your head to clear a path through a windshield to get clear of a wreck is a fatal move.

The "Why do I still have to wear a mask and how is it murder if I refuse" people sound *exactly* like the "Why do I have to buckle my kids up in the car and how is it murder if I refuse" people back when seatbelts became mandatory.

When I was a kid it was obviously fun to dunk on Bill Gates because he was rich and Windows was bad, and then I got older and thought that was wrong because tbh all software is bad, but now I wish we'd done it harder so Elon would feel more ashamed

Itโ€™s the crime of the century: An FBI agent working for Putin swayed the 2016 election by both leaking disinformation about Russia-Gate and revealing the reopening of the email investigation, right before the election But please MSM, tell us more about Bidenโ€™s closet.

I can't be the only one who makes up nicknames for the Russian pundits, like Angry Eyebrows Lady. The Nuke Britain Guy. The Professor. The Sleazy One. etc.

Meanwhile on Russian TV: Vladimir Solovyov and his guests predictably overreacted to the news that Leopard-2 tanks will be going to Ukraine. The bravado of their threats to eradicate Anglo-Saxons couldn't mask the stench of desperation in the studio. youtube.com/watch?v=Vc5Sba

I wonder if Solovyov knows how many of us tune in to , and every time Russia suffers (another) humiliating military or diplomatic defeat just to watch his meltdowns? Itโ€™s one of the few moments of laughter in what is a horrific inhumane war.

Social media platforms ban Trump for inciting violence and spreading dangerous lies that undermine democracy. They restore his access not because he's somehow repentant but bc he's running for president.

Always different rules for the wealthy and well-connected. Different tax rules. Different rules for what social media will tolerate. Different rules for whether or not they get indicted. Different rules for criminal sentencing.

Whose fault is it that Trump is allowed to be a candidate, such that Meta would be in a position to reinstate his Facebook and Instagram? Merrick Garland and Congress both failed to make any move to enforce the 14th Amendment, Section 3 ban on insurrectionists in office.

Meta says the risk posed by Donald Trump has "sufficiently receded." In what world? He is still posting lies and misinformation and vitriol on social media. He has never disavowed his attempt to overturn an election. This is beyond unacceptable.
