Now YouTube wants to make our custom thumbnails irrelevant? I swear to god that @TeamYouTube is literally seeing how fast they can make creators leave their platform. I urge EVERYONE to voice your opinion on this matter. Make sure to tag them. Flood themhttps://twitter.com/teamyoutube/status/1012160856690450432 …

The worst part is
@TeamYouTube will screw with us WITHOUT TELLING US! You’re playing with fire YouTube, and when we all jump ship to your inevitable replacement and you file for chapter 7, don’t scratch your head. You were warned29 replies 25 retweets 467 likesShow this thread -

That alternative wont "build itself". Instead of whining at a social media PR account that clearly dont give a fuck. Move to a new platform already. BUILD A NEW HOME. Dont just sit in your fucking house while its on fire.

it is. You know what is also easy? Not doing anything. You're not the only creator disenfranchised. Yet all of you, from the smaller creators to PewDiePie, just try to ride out the storm while complaining against a company that doesnt care. We, the viewer, will follow you!!!

Perhaps it is time for a "Youtube Creators Union"... Instead of whining, why dont you talk to creators. make a union. Pick a platform - or make a new one, and MOVE. Even if you just go away for a month or two, Youtube will notice.

imagine if that Union decided to, all on the same day, to set all their videos private and then uploaded a video explaining what's going on and where to find them for the next month. All of our sub boxes would have this video in it, we would all know where to go.

yes. The viewers come for the creators. If the creators we love isnt there, why would we stay? We have NO incentive to stay. Youtube is "free", so they cant even guilt us with "but your wasting your subscription by going elsewhere"
