    Where can I sign up to volunteer? I'm willing put test samples in a machine and fax the results somewhere, if that's what's holding Japan back from testing everyone who needs it.

    In press briefing, Japan’s health ministry says it has capacity to conduct 15,000 PCR tests a day but is conducting about 7000-8000 maximum, in part because of lack of enough personnel, necessary reagents. "There is no intention for the government to suppress the number of tests"

    Someone found a piece of laundry that had flown off the veranda of a resident in my condo. They took the time to fold it up, put it in a bag with the hanger, and write a note so that the owner would find it. It’s these little things that give me hope. I love it here.

    The sad state of IT in Japan. Sharp attempted to sell masks online, but users overloaded the site. That traffic took down not only their online shop, but also completely unrelated Sharp home appliances. How are these not completely separate systems? 😅
