I think proactive interventions to reduce inequality esp. at the extremes of low income is as important as measures targeted at reducing poverty.

What kind of growth are we talking about? Growth in the conventional sense and we'll be choking on our own greenhouse gases, plastic pollutants, and chemical waste.
