Last time I tried DI on Android was via Dagger and it was pain by comparison. It felt like there was more fiddly ceremony - maybe because it's statically compiled (which is cool)

Is it controversial to like Dependency Injection? It gets a lot of hate, especially from FP folks (just curry lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Maybe because I work on frameworks/libs and usually not on apps/svcs? Maybe DI in .NET is so much nicer than elsewhere (have you tried DI on Android?)

It's not every day that a read-after-write makes a server spend 4% of its CPU cycles in one instruction. Wrote that one up here:

I feel like, slowly, C# is becoming the language for gaming. C++ is still a staple, but with Unity and company, I’m starting to see more and more written in C#.

Really happy with , , Core 3.1. and (after a while) . Very few exceptions (typically < 60 per 10 million api requests), swift response times and just a lot of fun building. We spend most time on business rules and features, not yak shaving.

In 2020, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a git court for code they didn´t commit. They promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to Redmond underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as coders of fortune. If you have a problem -->

Half-formed thoughts on CASPaxos - excuse the poor description of the algorithm, it's been an idle draft for well over a year.

Clustering for Orleans without an external store - first test kind-of passes! Built on a CASPaxos variant. Early days, far from PR-ready - but exciting!

What I find interesting and very true in this whole ".net is dying or not doing anything interesting" conversation, is I think Orleans is in the really cool/interesting group yet doesn't get even remotely close to the attention it should.
