    Quick crash course on what Jim Crow looks like in the 21st century. Jim Crow grew up to be James Crow Esquire, and cloaks himself in a suit instead of a hood.

    In 1787, the Constitution considered Black people as three-fifths of a human being. Blacks voting was not an issue. Then came the Civil War, the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, birthright citizenship, and Black property ownership. Then we got Jim Crow.

    Thank you for speaking to power. The actions of this legislature indicate many have no regard for black and brown communities. We the voters need to remember who stood up for us and who did not — elections have consequences.

    Putting guns in our children’s classrooms is WRONG. Arming teachers is WRONG. I will always stand up for what’s RIGHT — I refuse to sit quietly.

    This is a great big slap in the face to the voters and a way to discourage people from participating in the process. There’s a stark disconnect between the joy and jubilation in November compared to folks now trying to do things in Tallahassee when no one is paying attention.

    The Florida House passed legislation requiring people with felony convictions to pay back all court fines and fees before registering to vote. Proponents of the groundbreaking ballot measure known as Amendment 4 say that's not what voters intended.

    BREAKING: Today the Florida Legislature passed , an anti-immigrant bill that will tear families apart in Florida. This discriminatory bill is an affront to our democracy. Despite today’s vote, we will not stop fighting to protect Floridians’ civil rights.

    Pretty convenient that Republicans like Meghan McCain never speak up about the Islamophobia coming from their own party, but find a way blame right-wing terror attacks against Jewish ppl on Muslims too. They're running interference for white nationalists.

    Everyone should watch this and know that 20 House Republicans donated to this Islamophobe's midterm campaign after this aired. He went on to win. Congress hasn't even bothered feigning outrage over this, and we should've started asking why a long time ago.
