is out today. At its heart, this book is for the millions of women who know the outdated workplace model that currently exists is no longer sustainable. And for the next generation of women, so the workplace of the future finally works for them.

Reshma Saujani posing for a photo on a stoop holding her new book, Pay Up: The Future of Women and Work (and why it's different than you think). She is wearing a purple blazer, a white top, and black pants.

🧵: We've heard the stories of parents driving to store after store looking for formula. But what happens when there is nowhere to look? In rural parts of the country, where 1 or 2 stores may carry formula, parents have been out of formula for weeks.

There is a lot to say on this topic, and captures much of it here. I have breastfed all of my kids, and continue to for my almost six month old. It is work, it takes an immense amount of time out of one's day, and can take a huge toll on one's body and mind.

So bottom line as we continue to have these conversations around the formula shortage, let's remember that it's about choice — a mother's individual choice — and it’s also about what we consider work.
