    I am 30 years old and your party has won the presidential popular vote exactly once in my lifetime

    House Democrats don’t get it. This is an evenly divided country, but they act like half of America doesn’t matter. That half is mad as hell, and they’re fed up with being disrespected. You got your warning in VA and NJ. Ignore it and you’ll be 1994’ed and 2010’ed again.

    Consider also that NH voter turnout is about 55%, only ~70% of the population is eligible to vote in the first place, and the number of voters needed to put someone in the legislature in New Hampshire is less than 1000.

    As disturbing this topic is, the most disturbing thing I learned in this article is that New Hampshire (pop 1.4M) has a (lower house) state legislature of 400 - meaning, each elected legislator represents on average 3500 people.

    At 72% fully vaccinated, Vermont is the most vaccinated state in the US. And its cases are through the roof. We knew what we had to do in April 2020, and we didn't do it. We knew we needed to be fully vaccinated, and we didn't do it. Water keeps coming over the side.

    Vermont officially reaches twice as many cases as the peak of its last winter surge with new record highs of ICU patients and deaths. Vermont is a microcosm of best-case scenario and what more states can expect as people mix for the holidays and congregate indoors from the cold.

    And, the movie 'Swingers' emerged from a Swing culture in the LA area, which included the Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association swing dancing classes, which were very popular at the time (and still today!)

    Can a Gen X please explain why y’all got really into swing music for like 2 years in the 90’s?

    I'm surprised McGill's tech services require people using campus Wifi, to use their default DNS service (and fails if you use another service, like Google's Public DNS). And today, that default DNS service blocks access to Discord - a service popular with students.
