Your fear-mongering just proves my point. Our 2021 defense budget is $530,000,000,000 bigger than China's. The only people we're ignoring are the American people. They need healthcare, jobs, education & housing more than they need a new nuclear weapon.

The defense budget is a giant waste, but that's because it's oriented around re-fighting World War 2. You need to start from a strategy to get to budget cuts, and that strategy has to include Chinese actions. Calling that fear-mongering instantly loses the argument.

China - 25% of world trade, signed largest trade agreement, BRI, G5, ⬆️7%/yr R&D, mutually beneficial loans, ⬆️ growth, ⬆️ infrastructure, ⬇️ poverty. US - ⬆️ military spending, foments war to block BRI instead of investing to be competitive & improving standard of living.

That's just plain bullshit. Nobody is asking to emasculate the Military. Just pay attention to what they spend. Like a failed fighter jet that cost almost as much as the Covid Relief Bill.
