We stand up for gig workers, for nurses, for grocery workers, for meatpackers, for fast food workers, for public service workers & yes, for Amazon workers in Bessemer, Alabama.
We're passing the #PROAct because every worker deserves a union.
Every single worker.

My concern is this Act, which includes many parts of CA AB5 would negatively impact small businesses (like mine) who use independent contractors for client projects. And many of these same 1099 people don't desire to be classified as employees.

If we stood for anything, we would not have gig workers to start with. No way we have have an economy with more and more people are becoming gofers. That is the distraction from the real issue. There is no real economy and no serious jobs.

Sorry to disagree, but it has to be a choice. The employee must have the choice to join or not. Not all unions are the same. The union must be transparent in every aspect of their representation.

You won't stand up for me or the millions of other freelancers who built businesses where we don't need to work "for the man" anymore. You're smart enough to know what the ABC test does to independent contractors. I have to assume you just don't care. We'll remember when we vote.
