    The Administration continues to fail the people of Puerto Rico. President Trump’s false claim yesterday denying that an est. 3k died due to Hurricane Maria is just the latest example of how Puerto Rico’s recovery needs haven’t been met.

    Today passed the House, including my provision directing the Army Corps to expedite a feasibility report for the E Hartford/Hartford levee systems - an important step towards gaining federal funding and protecting our communities from the risk of flooding.

    Communities need federal investments, not H.R. 6760 (). It forever limits federal deductions for state & local taxes. We agree with that this harms the finances of states and localities. Read more at

    Republicans’ Tax 2.0 is more of the same failed policy from the 1st -Doubling down on double-taxation of states like CT by PERMANENTLY limiting deductions on state/local taxes -AND they’re harming Medicare/Social Security to pay for cuts for corporations & wealthy
