Congress needs to get back to regular order, the way it used to be. And the upcoming election offers the best chance to reform Congress in 24 years.https://www.tennessean.com/story/opinion/2018/10/24/2018-elections-its-time-reform-congress-and-now-best-time/1701023002/ …

We need a functional first branch of government, not the “broken branch” criticized by political scientists @NormOrnstein & Tom Mann. Perhaps there is a better way to repair Congress, but the only proven way is the one that worked for Tip O’Neill and Ronald Reagan: regular order.

Unfortunately you have almost a complete generation of citizens and members of congress who only know the Gingrich/GOP style of congressional and now Presidential governance. This is something that will take a long time to fix.

And yet, Newt Gingrich is still at it. Someone should have muzzled his ass back then.

1- Term Limits would be a great start to repairing the first branch. 2- A solid review of the U.S Constitution by the first branch of government. 3- Vote !

Regular order. What is that? Look Jim, you most likely think yourself a decent fellow. The problem isn't repairing Congress, the problem is Congress. Time politicians start to wise up to the idea that you are the problem. The great and the good.

          Fewer Republican sociopaths would help.

The best way to repair it is to vote out all you incumbents who’ve been nothing but career politicians and put party interests over the country

It is what John McCain was beefing Congress to go back to in his final weeks of his life This is not a Democratic Party anymore. The republicans are a distorted group of angry white people with the need to control all.The rules of law are evaporating and chaos is around the corner
