Its unfortunate that Don Young is our only rep. He doesn't represent ALL Alaskans, just the energy industry. As the population of AK changes and becomes younger and more vibrant, Don's policies will go out of vogue and his support in AK will diminish.

as an alaskan voter who is also one of large majority of u.s. voters (including maj of republicans) defending coastal plain, i often must educate my representative re: democracy, morality, and prudence re: oil-$ < land-cultural-economic-climate health.

no oil companies want to take the risks of drilling in the Arctic. How did you not consider this fact?

“Unique needs”=“our elected officials are oil company pawns.” It’s really special. Y’all in the lower 48 wouldn’t understand.

As a researcher of human impacts in the Arctic, I tell you there's nothing "responsible" about developing caribou calving grounds, Alaska Native lands, and America's most pristine wilderness for the sake of oil.

What part of fossil fuel CO2 emissions causing climate change impacting every creature on this planet is “responsible energy development”? You belong to a corrupt party that denies facts and undermines science. Please resign. #GOPCorruption #GOPComplicit
