No parent should have to worry if their child will be killed at school, at the grocery store, or at church. Families and communities across our country deserve better.
Gun violence is rampant in the United States, and a poll sheds light on the toll the nation’s addiction to firearms is taking on American families. https://trib.al/QM9UWl5
is right: The designation of Avi Kwa Ame opens a new chapter of working together with Tribal nations, the federal government, and local leaders to protect our environment.
And as we often do, Nevada’s leading the way.
Leaks of classified information like we’ve recently seen are deeply troubling, could be damaging, and cannot be allowed to happen again.
They not only threaten our national security, but send the wrong message to our allies.

Rep. Titus led the bill to designate #AviKwaAme, behind the scenes, even without publicly. Now we have Avi Kwa Ame National Monument thanks to her! #HonorAviKwaAme

I’m honored to have introduced legislation that helped get it across the finish line.
“They see the long game and they do this quietly, not for the glory but to get this done. Every single person in this room are the work horses that fought to #HonorAviKwaAme,” said

Now more than ever, working together to support our water systems is critical for the future of Southern Nevada.
DACA recipients are our friends, neighbors, and colleagues. They deserve a shot at the American dream and access to quality health care.
The Administration’s action today is the right one.
Today, my Administration is announcing our plan to expand health coverage for Dreamers, the thousands of young people brought to the U.S. as kids.
We’re not done fighting for their pathway to citizenship, but we're getting them the opportunities they deserve in the meantime.

The Inflation Reduction Act, which I worked to pass in the House, provided $4 billion in Western drought resilience funding.
Now, we need an all-of-government approach to protecting Lake Mead and water across the West.
Millions of Americans depend on Medicaid, and almost half of all births in the U.S. are covered by it. We can’t afford to cut the benefits so many children, seniors, and families rely on. #MedicaidMatters
The reality of the West’s ongoing drought means that all seven Colorado River Basin states are faced with difficult decisions when it comes to water usage.

If the recent decision on mifepristone is allowed to stand, it would eliminate access to abortion medication even in states that protect the right to choose.
For now it’s still safe, effective, and accessible, and I’ll fight to keep it that way.
Don't let anyone tell you that there's nothing we can do to stop mass shootings in our country.
Don't let them say we're "not going to fix it."
Too many communities and too many families are grieving. Congress can act to stop gun violence. We must.

I’ve said before that the campaign to undermine women’s reproductive freedom didn’t end when Roe was overturned.

What happened today in the TN legislature was unacceptable and yes, un-American.
I taught American government at UNLV, and protesting injustice has always been a part of our country’s story. These duly elected representatives should not have been expelled. Full stop.
