A new study on Republican work requirements plan shows that 4 million children and seniors would be at risk of losing #SNAP benefits.https://www.vox.com/2018/10/15/17978222/republican-work-rules-food-stamps-medicaid …

Are these the same rules that came out of welfare reform 1996? If so would this just apply to ABAWDs? Able bodied adults without dependents? It wouldn’t apply to elderly and disabled.

You sound knowledgeable about the regs! Are you a current/former worker with the food stamp program?

Yes you are not the “stereotype” of what the media likes to portray a Trump supporter. Good for you! ( I spent 28 years working with food stamps Medicaid and tanf)

Or said another way; there is a risk of moving 4 million people out of poverty. That would hurt Democrats plans to keep you dependent on them.

Yes, this is why Democrats are desperate to make this look like a negative. It's actually good for those people who are able to work. Dems want to keep people in poverty and dependent on them so they can depend on their vote.

One of the best ways to battle the emotional ravages of poverty is to get folks back to work so they can pay for their own groceries. It's called #dignity.
