    Today is the 54th anniversary of , where & other civil rights heroes were viciously beaten for expressing their desire to vote. Now, we honor them by passing the most comprehensive voting rights bill in decades.

    54 years ago today, we were beaten, tear gassed, trampled by horses, and left bloody on that bridge in Selma. But we cannot rest. We cannot become weary. We must honor those who gave their lives for the right to vote. We must continue to find a way to get in the way.

    For far too long the tech industry has tried to hide its lack of diversity and the effect that has on the products they push out to consumers. I'm happy the committee is taking a closer look at the issue.

    Looking forward to questioning Director Kraninger at hearing this morning. Under this administration, the CFPB has fallen short of its promise to protect consumers from nefarious lenders. It's time to hold them accountable.
