My dad Kent Kalweit proudly drove 20yrs for @trimet and was a Master Operator with the distinction of a Million Miles of Safety. He passed away in ‘13 just after he retired and was buried in his driver blues at his request. I never pass a bus without thinking of him.

When are you going to ride a bus? Not just once for a publicity junket, but regularly ride the bus, and listen to your constituents who are ignored by elected officials too good to ride the bus with ordinary citizens? And not just the 15 bus to NW 23rd...ride the 9 or 72.

I'm really happy we have such a great transit system here in Pdx. There's always room for improvement, but I'm very happy with the service.
