First, it was @IlhanMN. Now, it's no coincidence that @RashidaTlaib is on the receiving end of the latest hateful Republican smear campaign.
People should seek the truth & read her comments. The incessant vilification of the first Muslim-American women in Congress is shameful.

It's very easy if you fail at reading comprehension. All she said was the Holocaust was a tragedy and the taking of Palestinian land to create Israel was a tragedy. But it was "calming" that *something* good (the creation of Israel) came out of taking the land.

While the Republican hit jobs are shameful, that doesn;t change that Rep. Omar Tweeted antisemetic tropes (at best) and that Rep. Tlaib's Tweet inexcusably distorted history 180 degrees when she pretended the Arab inhabitants of the British Mandate welcomed Jewish refugees. 1/2

Rep. Tlaib's office released a statement today confirming she intended to make her ahistorical claims. Holding Reps. Tlaib and Omar responsible for their words is entirely appropriate notwithstanding their groundbreaking roles. To do otherwise demeans them. 2/2

Seeking truth means recognizing all she said about WWII, Israel's creation since WWI, and her pretending Palestinian Muslims were trying to help the Jews. It was the complete opposite.
