For too long, the federal government has ignored its responsibility to correct past injustices against indigenous peoples, including to members of the Columbia River treaty tribes. Today, the House passed my bill which begins to right a historic wrong.
H.R. 91 would provide improvements for in-lieu & treaty fishing access sites along the Columbia, which have been inhabited by tribal members after the government flooded their villages. This is long overdue & w/ the leadership of @SenJeffMerkley this will soon be signed into law.
