Day 16 of #TrumpShutdown, here's a snapshot of what the new year looks like thanks to Trump's petulance:
IRS can't issue tax refunds or transcript requests for loans
Much of the nation's immigration court system is closed, adding to a backlog of over 800K cases
Families on SNAP will soon have to figure out how to feed their children w/o paychecks
TSA agents are missing pay, making our airports understaffed & less safe.
Never before have we had a shutdown over ONE thing that majority of Americans don't want. #TrumpShutdown
Don't forget the #TrumpShutdown happened w/ a Republican controlled House, Senate & White House.
The new House voted to open the government last week & will do it again this week.
Trump got the shutdown he wanted. Republicans need to stand up and end this foolish tantrum.
This is your fault. I want the shutdown to continue until our border is secure. Your gated community has disconnected you from reality.
