DeVos reinstates “watchdog” that failed to protect students from predatory for-profit colleges. Instead of propping up for-profit colleges, we should be doing more to invest in public education, especially community colleges that help students get the credentials and training they need to succeed in the workforce, and at an affordable price.
There should be federal legislation introduced and passed to help alleviate student loan debt for some college graduates. A lot of programs are in place to help aspiring students (& more needed!) but graduates need help too.
