@rentzsch Yeah, 10.6. OS X Finder did have Undo going back to 10.1, and got a limited form of multiple undo in 10.7. -
@nriley Are we talking about the same thing? I’m talking file metadata added to trashed items that allow restoration to original location. -
@rentzsch Yeah, I just mean that before Put Back was added to the OS X Finder, you could often use Undo to get the same result. -

@rentzsch in many circumstances undo gets you the same feature. -
@rentzsch yeah but while the putback location used to be settable by any tool, it appears to be a private Finder „feature“ now :(
