    Put another way, in five of the seven counties in the Congressional District, LESS THAN ONE THIRD of the registered voters in the district bothered to vote. No matter how much attention gets brought to an election, a lot of people will simply not participate.

    Here’s the thing about protests. The day after Trump was inaugurated, 597,000 people marched in Washington D.C. to protest him. But a mere 77,774 people - 13% of that crowd - could have prevented his inauguration by simply VOTING. Which 41% of those who were eligible to didn’t.

    Am no fan of Jones — among other things he has a habit of repeatedly slandering my Dad by falsely and absurdly accusing him of killing JFK — but who the hell made Facebook the arbiter of political speech? Free speech includes views you disagree with.

    I respect your opinion sir but unless a candidate has stood in opposition to President Trump they will not get my vote at any level. Though I disagree with the Democrats on almost everything (vice social issues) I will, for the first time in my life, vote a straight Dem ticket.
