YES! Improving sanitation can do so much more than health benefits, and this way of measuring quality of life makes so much sense. Well linked to what makes a difference in people's lives, and to why we do sanitation to start with.

A challenge across many companies is that employees understand the product but not the business. An old school example is that reporters understood journalism and op-eds as the product of newspapers. But the business was actually being a channel for classifieds & mattress sales.

This is such a useful guide, congrats ! I often use this when I'm not sure how to refer to specific groups. I like the tables "what to say / what to avoid". There's also a section on Sanitation Workers and one on Urban Poor / informal settlements. Super useful.

As always, it's disappointing when so much attention is given to water and sanitation is considered too quickly, especially when different sanitation systems need different financing mechanisms. Hopefully something the actual financing strategies can address!
