    Graham Lyall received the Victoria Cross in 1918 for action seeing the capture of 185 men, 26 machine guns. Though he died in 1941, his position in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and involvement in the formation of REME led his family to loan his VC to the Museum

    This morning a memorial service was held in the Memorial Garden. The Museum laid this wreath with poppies handmade by visitors, bearing the names of REME personnel who have given their lives in service

    Today's theme is 🪵 This magnificent wood-carving is part of our current REME Sports Exhibition. It is on loan to us from , a trophy awarded during a special rugby tournament hosted for REME's 50th anniversary in 1992-93 🏉

    A momentous occasion occurred 32 years ago. The fall of the Berlin Wall signalled the end of a divided city 🧱 Our tiny reminder of this historic event is a fragment of the wall gifted to REME MRO from 14 Berlin Field Workshop REME

    is day 8 of Corps culture is a key part of being REME. Soldiers and Officers live by the motto 'Arte et Marte' (By Skill and by Fighting). This was printed on mugs for the Corps' 75th Anniversary (Museum staff use them all the time!)

    It's 🎖 Ernest Frederick Humphreys RAOC was captured in Crete 1941. Detailed as a carpenter, he had opportunity for sabotage, including "slackening off of important bolts to vehicle engines and transmissions" After the war, Humphreys received a commission in REME
