No one hires a law firm just to write one letter. But you might hire them to write one letter if they happen to have been privy to some conversation or deal so that it's now covered by attorney client privilege.
Jon Sale tells me #Giuliani brought him on to respond to the House subpoena. Sale says he sent Congress a response today. With that job done, he says that ends his representation of Giuliani. Says this was the plan from the start.
