Maker by no means is a consumer loan product (yet) ;) . Prize Linked Savings (this is what Pool Together is doing) have been around for a long time. Long Game has been doing prize linked savings for a while.https://www.longgame.co/prize-linked-savings/ …

Interesting - I stand corrected. Maybe the correct analogy is that Pooltogether is a 10x improvement over existing prize linked savings (which seem to largely be done offline), whereas none of the other are nearly 10x better than corollaries

Maker's main product is the issuance of an onchain synthetic stablecoin pegged to the USD. Loans are just a part of its mechanism. So I wouldn't call Maker an iteration..

Yeah that's fair. For the end-user of a CDP, the product is analogous to a loan though, no? You lock collateral, and receive credit.. For end-users of DAI (w/o a CDP), I guess analogy is just USD
