    We will not cede the public square to fascist lies and fascist mobs. We will not allow the regime to gain strength to carry further the nightmare of the last four years. In the name of humanity, we REFUSE to accept a fascist America!

    For the next four years Trump is going to behave like an antipresident in exile, holding a shadow presidency that not only critiques the Biden Administration but undermines it and fosters radical violence. We need to recognize this and plan accordingly.

    I get the media impulse to shave off edges of the near-coup not-quite-yet past. It's a kind of bargaining w/ fate. If we don't call fascism fascism, maybe it will go away. This is like imagining the sun orbits the earth, that our own perception is gravity. It isn't.
