Ahsha, this is what happens when you decriminalize shoplifting. The city's mitigation programs just move around deck chairs on the Titanic. Prop 47 needs to go.
@chesaboudin needs to be replaced with a DA who prioritizes victims over criminals, not the other way around.7 replies 23 retweets 345 likes -

The fact of the matter is shoplifting isn't taken seriously by the cops even in red states. By the time they get there the thief is gone anyway. Companies need to invest in their own security but it's cheaper to let people steal than to face lawsuits by hurt perps.

There are 105 counties in Kansas and you found 1 post in 1 county and are using that as proof that I'm wrong even though I've worked I've retail in this state for about a decade. I've had the operator ask me if there was a weapon involved. No? Report taken over phone.

I've had cops take an hour and a half to show up or never show up at all. When they did show up and I asked if they wanted a picture or video clip, they declined. The DA's may very well do their jobs, when the case is presented to them.

That’s bs. Reason they take their time (if indeed that’s true) is bc they no one from the store will show up in court to testify against offender and that stores choose not to prosecute. What’s the point of rushing there when he’s gonna be released?
