Ducey is too afraid of the astroturf Trump supporters in AZ to do something like that.
If we want to play four-dimensional chess, @JeffFlake should resign from the Senate forthwith and @dougducey should appoint him to Sen. McCain's seat, leaving Flake in office until 2021.

Unfortunately, no time for dreaming. Dreams are for later. Right now we have to be realistic, serious, and ruthless. The Trump Crime family will be nothing less. We can take no risks and must act directly.

I just experienced an Epiphany: Arizona Governor Doug Ducey@dougducey should appoint@JeffFlake to serve out@SenJohnMcCain's term to 2020 general election if he'll do it. Then Flake resigns his current seat & Ducey appoints somebody serve until Jan 3, 2019@AZGOP@SenateGOP
