In Roman times pink was seen as a male colour and art in the Middle ages often has Jesus in pink cloth. There’s nothing behind gender stereotypes but traditions that are changing. Good on you and hope your enjoying your new home

If you have 10 mins this is a super interesting and concise video on the "switch" of gendered colours and why children's clothes became so strongly gendered - including technological developments as recently as the 80s - really recommend https://youtu.be/ohwbtkMXJJ0

I see this so much in childcare. Companies try to dictate what colour girls+boys should wear or own. It really upsets me that children are pushed to conform to gender stereotypes frm birth. Part 1/2

Its no surprise that society has so far to go to be inclusive of ALL gendertypes and identities. Its through no fault of parents either. A lot of the time there is no choice. Clothes and toys start from birth! Part 2/2
