It’s part of the same Trust. People use services at Worcester. All hospitals in the Trust have to work together and are linked, their futures depend on all local hospitals being strengthened. Investing in Worcester helps the Alex too because it takes pressure off that site.

A lot less pressure if Alex Child services/A&E and Maternity weren't moved to Worcester under a guise of them being temporary - only to become permanent. All it needed at the time was a concerted effort to employ and retain staff something WAHT still cannot achieve now
