Well said Rachel - I totally agree. Ageism still very much alive, but starting again at any age can be fantastic. Was an intern aged 48 after being home with kids for 15 years....now published 4 times by The Spectator....today on productivity!

Would absolutely love to know who is going to offer someone between the ages of say 60-63 an apprenticeship when they're then eligible to retire between 64-67. 16 and 17 year olds find it difficult enough to get one.

SO when a so called "work coach" "offers" a 65 yr old a £3.50 hr apprenticeship,so they can hit their target & get their bonus,& the 65 year old says no thank you...you can assure us that the 65 yr old won't get sanctioned for turning down the "offer"?

NOT when they've stolen your State Pension for SIX YEARS and you are literally struggling to survive! Have YOU gone mad too? The Tories all have! Here, the IMPACT...and we're also shoved into the now torturous Welfare State too, in our 60s! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZwjIbPmwKw&feature=youtu.be …

Have you all gone QUITE MAD? £3.50 an hour? Over 60s, who ALREADY have lost EVERYTHING in some cases, their State pensions STOLEN and EMBEZZLED for SIX YEARS? Truly, are you all of your rockerts? Do you know the IMPACT of this upon us? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZwjIbPmwKw&feature=youtu.be …

Might I suggest you take an apprenticeship in Fashion, thus you then being able to save anyone from ever appearing in a Highly Silly Outfit where they appear to bear a remarkable resemblance to a Beefeater, ever again.
