So disappointing to have to combat fake news. Neither I nor any other Conservative MP voted against animals as sentient beings. This government cares deeply about animal welfare and has done more to protect with more measures on the way. This is mischief making pure and simplepic.twitter.com/0nCkdaddwf

It's not 'fake news' when MP's have voted against a clause which recognises animal welfare rights and the recognition of their sentient nature. Let's hope they improve the law not make it worse for animals!

If you read this you will find that they actually support it and it’s just a technicality to say they voted against itpic.twitter.com/ickfU7NdSH

But @redditchrachel MPs allow #greyhound racing to continue self-regulated with thousands of injuries & deaths - EFRA committee recommendations ignored - why because like the abusive bastards who exploit dogs for profit the government gets lots of tax income????

Please explain how the deep concern for animal welfare can justify exploiting greyhounds for (taxable) profit Rachel?pic.twitter.com/Gc672HGEJR

So why not prosecutions for halal slaughter without full stunning? They had their change - all halal and kosha slaughter must be banned now. Not essential. They don't have to eat meat especially killed with cruelty!
