I’m stuck in London after attending emergency planning meetings today on behalf of @transportgovuk. My son who’s at my #Redditch home has symptoms so if I go home I’d be in household isolation for 14 days, and we have crucial votes next week. #StaySafeStayHomepic.twitter.com/J7Tkt55py7

Why is parliament still sitting? Would a national government not be more sensible in these times of crisis? I hope these votes are crucial to COVID19 and not more posturing in Brexit
I hope your son recovers well.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes

We have to pass essential legislation that allows us deal with the pandemic as it unfolds in ways none of us can predict. We are social distancing in line with guidelines inside Parliament now.
