What they, and *all* businesses need, is solid advice. Not this "yeah, best stay in but it's OK to take the kids to school" crap. They can't claim on insurance without an instruction to close. Johnson, who took £25k for a 2hr speech to the insurance industry, knows this. Sort it

You know as well as I, Johnson is unqualified & out of his depth to lead the country on this. He's flailing around desperately for a solution. Look abroad (yes, the forrins!) for true leadership & learn from them.

The government today has throw the hospitality business under the bus. By not instructing premises to close, owners are at risk not securing compensation. Disgraceful.

Declare enforced public venue closure and let us salvage what we still can from the wasteland the Conservatives have made of the Arts industry. Stop protecting the insurance industry. Boris makes more from one speech than I do in a year. Still waiting for reply to letter.

As I suspect many of your colleagues are also being told, what they need is an unambiguous instruction to close, not "advise" to all their customers not to go. Judging by the reaction of industry and MP's I fully expect a "clarification" in due course.

Then help them out. Make them close so that, at least they have a fighting chance. As it is, they're having their customers being told not to turn up yet the businesses still need to try and operate.
