I believe that people who earn swingingly huge amounts of money should pay more tax so that we have properly funded health, education & the like.

What about money that people don't work to earn? Inheritance? Rental? Interest? Dividends? How about we create routes to allow those working to benefit from these other routes of income? Also money spent on tax benefits (drum roll...) the tax payer! So you don't lose taxed £.

For example a national equity fund, filled with a v. small transaction tax, that is invested in deprived areas to boost their local economy. As the fund grows it pays a dividend to: (drum roll...) everyone! Nb I believe labour are proposing something like this.
