If the very small increased risk continues for 10 years, I might just as well stay on it and enjoy old age with strong bones, a healthy heart and a good QoL. I’m not going to sit around as a miserable old woman unable to enjoy any grandchildren that might come along.

Scare stories/reports like this have been going on since the invention of the birth pill. Makes huge headlines- scares the living daylights out of women taking it and when you get down to the fine print and detail, the risks are still very small as long as regular check ups.

The amount of people who will panic and stop taking their HRT will be huge because of this. Nice bonus for the nhs not having to pay for it and to stop worrying about the shortages. I do wonder about the motives for the timing of the release of this report...

Absolutely agree - the research was conducted with women taking oestrogen and ProgestoGEN not ProgesterONE which is bio-identical. There is a great deal of scientific research into Bio-identical hormones. No money in it for
#BigPharma though!
